Where your work is saved

TakoTax saves your in-progress project in this browser. Saved drafts are encrypted before being stored in browser storage. They are not synced to an account or another device.

What can make it unavailable

Clearing TakoTax site data, resetting the browser, or ending a private-browsing session can erase your project. A different browser or device cannot open this browser's saved project. Project-file export, import, and recovery are not available today.

Keep your source documents and download completed forms when available. Do not treat browser storage as a backup.

Protect your device

Encryption does not prevent someone with access to your unlocked browser profile from opening the project through TakoTax. Use a device you control, keep it updated, and avoid shared or public computers.
