Enter supported values

Manual entry lets you enter supported tax information without importing a PDF. Use it when a supported document cannot be read automatically or an extracted value needs correction.

Open the available entry screen for the form or topic, enter values from your records, and check the tax year. Review the saved values before generating forms.

Correct extracted values

Edit supported fields in the review screen or their manual entry screen. Compare the corrected values with your source records, then review the updated forms.

Unsupported information

Manual entry is limited to supported forms and facts. It does not make an unsupported situation or incomplete output form ready to file. Do not omit required information or place it in an unrelated field to get past a warning.

If TakoTax cannot handle information required for your return, use another preparation method. Check the supported forms page and limitations before relying on generated output.
